Name: Richard Champagne
Profession: Unemployed
Location: The Prudential Center
Question: Why are you here?
Answer: To validate my parking ticket
Former construction superintendent of City Center in Las Vegas, Richard Champagne, now unemployed, was waiting for his wife to validate their parking ticket at Sephora today when I addressed him for an interview.
More than forty miles from his home, Champagne wasn’t in Boston for the city’s largest mall, but rather for the Museum of Fine Art’s exhibition “The Secrets of the Tomb 10A,” which will last until May.
My daughter’s sixteen and she was very interested in seeing that,” he said. “It was great.”
Because Champagne finished his project in Nevada, he is now on the job hunt for another construction job.
Construction, he said, “is my life.”
So much so, in fact, that the man’s current residence, a home more than a century old in Northborough, Massachusetts, has become a presentable, livable space since he personally renovated it.
